Meet the committee
Chairman, Katie Mansfield – Mum to Eleanor and Monty. I came onto the committee at the 2015 AGM, as I thought it would be a great idea to ‘have a go’ at being a Chairman with a 3 month old baby. I also didn’t want it to close, due to no-one stepping forward. So, here I am! I love gardening, food – cooking and eating it, quizzes and knitting/crochet when I have the time, which is pretty much never.
Vice Chairman, Kate Foster – Mum to Tobias, Amber and Owen. I’m still an active member of the Preschool Committee as I feel it would be a shame if the pre-school were to close. I stepped down from Chairman last year and am now Vice. I love spending time with my family and drink when I can! I hate growing up and feel my children are doing so too quickly.
Treasurer, Laura Glancy – Mum to Isaac and Reuben. I joined the Committee as Treasurer in September 2016, due to some absurd desire to do maths in my spare time. I like anything that’s likely to make me fat or drunk, quirky shoes and baking. I dislike washing-up, bills and persuading small people to sleep. I am getting married in October, so likely to appear much calmer by November!
Secretary, Katy Hoyle – Mum to Jasper. I decided to have a go at being Secretary, mainly to prove I can still use a computer!! I work as a Teaching Assistant in a Nursery class in an Oxford school. I love spending time with my family on exciting days out and holidays as well as cooking!
Comittee member, Laura Hughes – Mum to Evie and Leo. Previously, Secretary thanks to spending too much time on Facebook and knowing my way round Spellchecker, stepped down to committee member October 2016. I like wine, crochet and sleep!
Committee Member, Emma Wilton – Mum to Oliver and Imogen. I have been a member of the committee since 2013 and have thoroughly enjoyed supporting the pre-school and making lovely new friends. As well as being a mum, I work part-time for the NHS.
